How does the Twist-A-Shear work?

It's a curl cutter - Imulates a Body Wave

 It’s a very simple process and easily explained. You first start by taking small sections of hair and twisting them into a ponytail, the smaller the section the more the curl. Starting with the concave side of the shear up and one inch up from the scalp, use slight pressure while twisting the shear in the direction that the ponytail is twisted approximately every quarter of an inch. Now here is the secret. The entire blade of the Twist-A-Shear is not only curved, it is torqued from the base of the cutting blade to the tip. Using a rotating movement while applying slight pressure causes “C” shapes to be sculpted in the hair. We all learned how to put “C” shapes into the hair with a comb and brush in beauty school. You are now doing it with the Twist-A-Shear. When you get near the end of the ponytail, flatten out the end and chunk cut into the hair to break up the precision cut and add curl power. That’s about all there is to it except for the drying process. If you defuse the hair dry it will start to coil. If you blow it dry straight it will dry straight, but remember, the hair is structurally changed and the curl is definitely there. It has to grow out just like a perm does.
